Description
When Sewall Street was repaved several years ago the storm drain at the corner was paved over. DPW is aware of the situation, but no movement has happened on this issue in a long period of time so we'd like to reopen the conversation
DPW informed us that this wasn't originally a storm drain, but a catch basin even though it appeared to be a storm drain for many years. There was some debate about whether this catch basin should become a full time storm drain, but as of yet no decision has been made
As you can tell from the photo the amount of rainwater that collects at this corner is significant and needs attention, especially considering the number of children that live in the area, forget about the traffic public safety issues, potential damage to nearby homes and of course the street itself
Any attention this issue could be granted would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
